Kolkata Knight Riders will take on Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Sheikh Zayed stadium in Abu Dhabi, which will mark the 8th match of the Indian Premier League 2020. Both the teams come into the match after losing their first match. While KKR were demolished by Mumbai Indians by 49 runs. SRH on the other side fell 10 runs short of the 163 scored by Royal Challengers Bangalore.

KKR looked helpless against the defending champions as Rohit Sharma played a brilliant knock to take MI to a winning total of 195. KKR’s bowling fell apart when the most expensive foreign player in the tournament Pat Cummins was punished by MI as he hit for 49 runs in his 3 overs. With all their star players failing to get going with the bat, the captain did look in good touch. But, given that wickets kept falling at regular intervals, it was too much to ask from the wicket-keeper batsman.

SRH did well to restrict the RCB side for 163 as they threatened to cross 180 at one stage of the game. Lot depended on the opening pair for the SRH, but the out of form David Warner was dismissed cheaply for 6. Jonny Bairstow along with Manish Pandey almost threatened to take the game away from RCB. But the shaky middle order of SRH meant that RCB eventually won the battle.

Both the teams have highly potential players but the teams seem to be struggling with the form as they key players are yet to hit their. Will this match be the ice-breaker?

Weather Report

The weather once again is expected to be clear with no chances of rain whatsoever. Temperatures are expected to be hovering around the 33-35 degree range with humidity again on the higher side.

Pitch

The pitch in Abu Dhabi has been more friendly to the batsman than expected. There has been some grass left by the curators so as the ball comes onto the bat well. The bounce could aid the pacers a bit but given the hot and clear conditions the batsman are likely to have the better time.

Team News

KKR do not have any injury concerns and are likely to play the same playing Xl combination.

SRH on the other hand have a few problems to solve as their key batsman Kane Williamson has been put with a shoulder injury and Australian all-rounder Mitchell Marsh was ruled out of the tournament after suffering an ankle injury in the match against RCB.

Mohammad Nabi is likely to replace the injured Mitchell Marsh as the pitch and conditions could suit the Afghani veteran better than any other player in the squad.
