CSK star Deepak Chahar, who tested positive for COVID-19 last week has now recovered completely and is ready to be in action. The news broke through Chennai Super King’s official twitter handle via a video where Chahar shared his health status.
He said, “Thank you so much for your lovely wishes and prayers. I have recovered well and hopefully will be in action soon.” The video featured Chahar doing some weight training as he trained in isolation.
13 members of the Chennai Super Kings camp including Chahar had contracted the virus and are in quarantine currently. Every one of them has tested negative in their first test and the same report on Thursday’s test will mean they are good to go.
In that case, they will be allowed to train with everyone from the next day. This will be a huge relief for the franchise as they are going to kick-off the 2020 edition of the IPL with Mumbai Indians, the defending champions.
The game will be an interesting one as it features the two most successful franchises of the tournament. However, Suresh Raina and Harbhajan Singh’s absence may just help Mumbai begin the game with an advantage but they still have MSD and it will be very interesting to see how he sets up his playing XI.
Deepak Chahar has been one of Dhoni’s important parts of the plan as the bowler proved quite economical and provided early breakthroughs in most of the games he played. Thus, his fitness will be very important as conditions in the UAE may favor swing bowlers more.
Dhoni on an individual level seems to be ready. Recent images of him have already done a lot of rounds on the net and people notice that he is in his best shape and all prepared.
