Chennai Super Kings are set to go head-to-head with Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 25th match of the Indian Premier League. Both the teams have not been their best but things are still looking decent for Virat Kohli and Co. RCB are currently fifth in the table while CSK are just behind the net run rate at sixth.

However, RCB have played only five games while CSK have already played six. The match will be played at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai. After a disappointing game against Delhi, Bangalore would be looking to correct their mistakes. Considering the kind of form Chennai are in, Virat Kohli would be eyeing this game.

However, the biggest mistake you can commit in the IPL is to write Chennai off so early. The team was in shambles after three back-to-back losses but they showed their character against Punjab by winning with all the wickets in hand. Things were pretty much in their favor in their last game against KKR too but a poor middle-order performance cost them a game that should’ve been theirs at any cost, especially considering the kind of start Chennai had.

But like it is said, mistakes are meant to be corrected, it will be interesting to see how Chennai line-up in the game. While players like Shardul Thakur, Dwayne Bravo and some others had a decent performance, the game was a complete disaster for Kedar Jadhav. It seems incorrect to blame one player for the loss but Jadhav has been just very inconsistent lately.

The player did not have a decent 2019 IPL too. Questions are now being raised over the player’s continuous failures even though the player has an exorbitant price tag stuck to his name. For RCB, Chris Morris is most probably going to start and he would surely be one of the players to watch in the game.

The Proteas can bowl at the death and at the same time slog at the death too. He is a reliable option on both occasions but the question is if he has the form to do so or whether or not he can produce the same level of athleticism on the field. Bangalore have been too sloppy in the field at times and that is something they need to take care of.

Leaking runs will only multiply their problems. Both the teams have failed to put up multiple consistent performances lately and that is the reason for their position in the IPL.

Weather Report

The conditions will be ideal for a game of cricket. The temperature will be as usual. However, the players will feel the heat. 56% humidity is anticipated while the sky will be clear. The temperature will be fluctuating between 30-31 degrees.

Pitch

Dubai has been a very good pitch to bat on recently. Scores close to 200 were recorded in the last two games played on the ground. A good partnership will easily get the score past the 180 mark, which is considered as a defendable total on the ground.

The batsmen will look to dominate but things may get shaky. Chasing is very much possible too and no one knows it better than Chennai Super Kings.

Team News

CSK are expected to field the same line-up with barely any changes as MS Dhoni rarely changes his teams. However, Kedar Jadhav may be replaced by N.Jagadeesan who will be eager to play his first game of IPL 2020. The batting order may be shuffled too but as things stand, everyone else who played against KKR will play.

For RCB, Morris will be a definite addition as mentioned above. The role of Washington Sundar will be key as the player has played an instrumental role for RCB this season. The RCB team looks balanced but it will be a matter of question if the players can stand up and get the team through.
