The IPL 2022 mega auction is now just a day away and we hope you enjoyed Cricwizz’s series of built-up for the much-awaited event. We saw players who could fetch big money, uncapped players who could cause a bidding war, and way more other features. However, we all know that before any domestic global T20 event, international cricket holds the highest standard.

Keeping that in mind, today Cricwizz brings you an exclusive article on the top 10 ICC T20I rankings toppers who will be going under the hammer this weekend. Without further delay, let us dive in straight to the elite players.

1) Aiden Markram (South Africa)

ICC Ranking: No.3

Set at a base price of 1 crore, the South African batting all-rounder Aiden Markram is someone who is very likely to make heads turn at the auctions. Although not enough experience as Glenn Maxwell of Australia, he is expected to do the same job and for that reason could hold a key position at no.5 or no.6 for a team.

2) Dawid Malan (England)

ICC rankings: No.5

Although declining in form, he was the talk of the town during the last couple of years when it came to the shortest format of the game. The 34-year old has set himself at a base price of 1.5 cr and he is likely to be a bargain at the range. We do not see a bidding war taking place for the Englishman as his performance in sub-continent conditions have just been mediocre.

3) Aaron Finch ( Australia)

ICC ranking: No. 6

Only T20 World cup winning skipper who will be going the hammer, there is no doubt that Finch will be a wanted asset in the auctions. If not for his batting ability, few of the teams will be looking upto him as a backup skipper for their side. His form in recent times have been average barring in the T20 form and that is all that will matter now.

At a base price of 1.5 cr, we expect him to fetch at least three times that amount.

IPL teams represented: Delhi Daredevils, Gujarat Lions, Kings Xl Punjab, Mumbai Indians, Pune Warriors, Rajasthan Royals, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Sunrisers Hyderabad

# The 35-year old is only one of six batsmen in the history of T20 cricket to score 10,000 plus runs. He stands 4th in the list of the highest run-getters in T20 cricket.

4) Devon Conway (New Zealand)

ICC ranking: No.7

Well, no cricket followers will need an introduction to this gem of a player. Whatever he touches has been turning out to be gold and with averages of 70,75 and 50 in Test, ODI, and T20Is respectively, he is one player that any team will love to have irrespective of the conditions. He has set himself at a reasonable value of 1 cr and we feel he will have no trouble getting at least 3-4 times of that value.

5) Rassie Van der Dussen (South Africa)

ICC ranking: No.8

Another proteas player in the list and this time in the form of the 33-year-old Rassie Van der Dussen, who again has impressed one and all with his consistency. A decent striker of the ball but a very good player of the spin and as someone who is a natural talent on the slow surfaces, he could be a good pick in the Indian conditions.

Like his fellow countryman, Aiden Markram, Rassie has also set himself a base price of 1 crore and there is no doubt that he will be able to fetch a deal.

IPL teams represented: signed for Rajasthan Royals (2021) but yet to play a match in the IPL.
