The out of contract West Indian Marlon Samuels recently made the headlines after he aimed a tirade at old rival and all-rounder Ben Stokes, who made a go at Samuels.
Samuels stooped to a new low after he made racial remarks, including a derogatory statement against Stokes' wife.
Michael Vaughan came in support of the fellow English man and criticized Samuel's actions, calling the comments made by Stokes 'banter'.
It all started with Stokes going to meet his father who is down with cancer and the World Cup winner felt that the 14-day quarantine rule was just too much and he wouldn't wish that on anyone.
He then went to give Samuel's name as an example with whom he shares a long history. It started in 2015 when the West Indian mocked Stokes with a send-off salute in a Test match at Grenada.
Samuels was also on the crease when Stokes conceded four back-to-back sixes in the final over of the T20 World Cup final in 2016.
The all-rounder responded to everything by just posting a series of pictures of Samuels without posting any comments.
Stokes was late for the Indian Premier League this season due to his father's condition but slowly and steadily he has settled in the squad. His last innings was an exquisite one as he single-handedly thrashed Mumbai Indians and revived Rajasthan's chances in the tournament.
Samuels, on the other hand, has been out of contract in the IPL too and it seems after his derogatory comments, his chances of playing any cricket have been cut short.
From Stokes' side it seems that things won't go beyond social media posts at least until the end of the Indian Premier League 2020.
