The weekend promises to be an exciting one for the Cricket fans as we have two double-headers in the BBL 2020 accompanied by the semi-final of the Lanka Premier League 2020. The second match of the doubleheader on Saturday will feature Melbourne Renegades and Perth Scorchers.

You can Check out our Fantasy Tips and Predictions for the first match of the doubleheader Saturday between Melbourne Stars and Sydney Thunder on our site.

The Renegades would be feeling excited about the full availability of their skipper Aaron Finch, who was confirmed not to be part of the Test squad. Renegades will want to leave the last season behind them as they had one of the worst seasons after finishing the group stage at the bottom of the table with just 3 wins from 14 matches.

The Perth side too found themselves at the bottom of the table after finishing sixth, with six wins from the 14 matches played. The Renegades took a much better side this season with several big names they are certain to do better than the last season.

Can the Renegades kick-off their campaign with the much-needed win? Or will it be the Mitchell Marsh led Scorchers who come on top?

Match Toss Time: 18:45 Local (13:15 IST)

Match Start Time: 19:15 Local (13:45 IST)

Match Venue: Bellerive Oval, Hobart

Weather Report

The conditions seem well in favor of cricket as clear skies are expected throughout the day. The temperature is expected to hover in the range of 14-17 degrees Celsius and the humidity at the peak is anticipated to reach the 75 percent mark.

Pitch

The pitch in Bellerive like the one in Canberra and is batsmen friendly. We saw the Hobart Hurricanes score 178 runs and it does look like 170-190 wicket. The pitch did not change much in the second innings and expected to behave the same way for this encounter.

The pacers seemed to have a decent time when compared to the spinners but the match should be considered as an exception as records suggest spinners have a better time in this venue.

Team News

Melbourne Renegades have a very good top-order and getting past could be quite a work for the opposition. The experience of Aaron Finch will definitely play a crucial part and looks likely that the 24-year old Wicket-keeper Batsman Sam Harper will open along with him. The inclusion of South African batsman Rilee Rossouw adds great strength to the batting line-up.

Scorchers on the other side has one of the best bowling attacks in the tournament and this match promises to be a great battle between the bat and ball. Though their top-order does not look that steady, they do have Mitchell Marsh in the middle-order who could provide the finishing.
