The 20th match of the Big Bash League 2020 is set to take place between Hobart Hurricanes and Brisbane Heat at Gabba in Brisbane, this Wednesday. The teams last met on Sunday at the same venue and saw the Heat come on top of things.
The Hurricanes find themselves cutting the points table with 11 points and have been on the receiving end on two occasions so far in this season. A win here for Peter Handscomb and Co. will see them jump to the top of the table. Brisbane Heat are placed 6th on the table with just 1 win from their 4 matches and their only win came against this very opposition.
The last time the sides met each other, Heat did manage to come on top but could say it was not a very convincing win for the Brisbane side. They would be happy with the way their openers performed in the chase of 149 runs.
Their middle-order though completely were blown away, they were reduced from 73/1 to 102/6 in the space of 5 overs and it was only the perseverance and determination of the stand-in skipper Jimmy Peirson and a brilliant cameo of 31 of 18 balls by James Bazley that ensured the Heat registered their first win of this season.
Can Heat once again vanquish the Hurricanes and make it two in two? Or will it be the Hurricanes who seek redemption?

Weather Report
The conditions are not ideal for cricket as scattered thunderstorms with rain is expected throughout the day. The precipitation is predicted to be around 40 percent and for that reason, it looks very likely the match may be a rain-curtailed one. The temperature is expected to be hovering in the 25-22 degree range and the humidity at the peak is likely to touch the 69 percent mark.
Pitch
As we saw in the last match between the two sides, the pitch seems to be a bit on the slower side as compared to the other ones used for BBL. The last match saw an aggregate of close to 300 runs and we can expect the same for this encounter as well. The team winning the toss should be looking to bat first, keeping in mind the rain and overcast conditions.
Team News
Hobart Hurricanes apart from their loss against the Heat in the last match, have been in good touch and they would consider the last match too was under their control. The leg-break bowler Wil Parker seems to be leaking way too many runs and it would not be a surprise to see Johan Botha replace him in the playing Xl.
Brisbane Heat were dealt a huge blow when their skipper was reported to have sustained a hamstring and as per the latest reports, the hard-hitting Australian still seems to be recovering. Though not a convincing win, the team managed to open their account after a three-match losing streak, and the management will be hoping the same Xl can get them over the line once again.
