Hobart Hurricanes will face Melbourne Renegades in the 10th match of the 2020 Big Bash League at Hobart on Saturday. Hurricanes are 2nd in the points table, having posted two wins out of three games. Renegades are fifth with one win out of two games.
Hurricanes had defeated Sydney Sixers in the opening match of BBL 2020 before beating Adelaide Strikers in their second game. However, they were brought down to earth by Strikers in the return match, losing by 5 wickets. Hurricanes would look to get back to winning ways in the clash against Renegades.
Renegades, on the other hand, began well, posting a comprehensive 7-wicket win over Perth Scorchers in their opening clash. However, Renegades lost their next clash by 145 runs against Sydney Sixers after they were bowled out for just 60 while chasing 206 for a win.
Renegades' task would be cut out when they face Hurricanes on Saturday as they will be without their regular skipper Aaron Finch as he has been given a break from competitive cricket. But he will be back for the next clash for Renegades.

Weather Report
The weather is expected to be cloudy, with temperatures hovering around 9 degrees Celsius to 15 degrees Celsius. There is no forecast of rain.
Pitch
Bellerive Oval, Hobart has been a high-scoring ground, with three scores of 174 and above in four games in BBL 2020 so far. The team batting first has won three games out of four so far. The only time the team batting second won was when Renegades bowled out Perth Scorchers for 130 and chased down the target with 7 wickets to spare. Hence, choosing to bat first would be the preferred option.
Team News
Hurricanes would continue to miss their regular captain Mathew Wade who is doing national duty in the Test series against India. Peter Handscomb is leading the team in the absence of Wade. But Handscomb's form is a worry. In the last game against Strikers, he gave up his keeping gloves to Ben McDermott to focus on his batting but could manage just 5 runs.
Besides, Hurricanes are too heavily dependent on D'Arcy Short to carry the team through. Their overseas players – Colin Ingram and Tim David – have come good, but the over-reliance on them spells a lack of quality local talent in the squad.
Meanwhile, Renegades were exposed in the clash against Sixers who piled up 205 and then dismissed the Renegades for just 60. Renegades would have to move on quickly from this embarrassing loss and start afresh against Hurricanes.
But their problems have compounded as star batsman-cum-captain Aaron Finch would miss the match as he has been given a break from competitive cricket. Renegades will be led by Shaun Marsh, who has a tough job at hand to inspire the team after the humiliating loss to Sixers.
Their bowling department, one of the best in the competition, was brutally taken to task by Sixers. Hence, Renegades may have to come up with quick-fix solutions to thwart Hurricanes' challenge.
