The long-awaited BBL final is here, After months-long battles of grit and strength. Two teams stand tall, The two most successful teams of this year’s edition. The Sydney Sixers took on the Perth scorchers on the 6th of February at the Sydney Cricket Ground. These two teams will be meeting for the fourth time this season, and if the last 3 matches are any indicator. This looks like to be a real battle of the heavyweights.
The Sixers finished on top of the table this season, while scorchers weren’t far behind second to none. And so the top two teams meet for the first qualifier where the sixers thumped their way to the finals. The second qualifier between the Brisbane Heat and the scorchers was pretty much a one-sided affair in a rain-affected match setting up themselves for a place in the finals.
The first time these two teams meet each other, Andrew Tye proved the difference as some good performance with the bat by the Scorchers and scintillating bowling from Andrew skittled out the sixers for a massive 86 run victory. Josh Phillipe made sure to return the favor the next time these two sides meet, hitting a 52 ball 84 in chasing down the total the scorchers had set for them.
Only four points separated the 1st placed Sixers and the 2nd placed scorchers. Traditionally the two heavyweights of this competition, So it shouldn’t come as a surprise that these two teams are here again to battle it out for the trophy. The 1st Qualifiers, Sixers claimed the bragging rights by winning the match by 9 wickets, giving them a mental advantage heading into these finals

James Vince looks to be getting in-form at the right time just 2 runs shy of a century in the last match they played, That too against the scorchers. He should be looking to repeat the trick, With also Josh Philippe having a good season with the bat being the highest run-getter for the sixers.
