Bangladesh takes on Sri Lanka at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in the final and third ODI of the three-match series on Friday. The Host team has already clinched the series after winning the first two games.

Bangladesh won the rain-interrupted second ODI by 103 runs with the help of the DLS method, thanks to a match-winning ton from Mushfiqur Rahim and some tight bowling by Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Mustafizur Rahman. Choosing to bat after winning the toss, Sri Lanka threatened to take hold of the game from the get-go, but some of the Tigers had other plans.

Though only three Bangladesh batsmen managed to go past 20, Mushfiqur Rahim and Mahmudullah dominated with the bat enough to post a decent score on the board in this rain-interrupted shortened match. Sri Lanka started aggressively but lost skipper Kusal Perera early in the chase. Later on, Bangladesh tightened the screws and the pressure got to the Sri Lankan batters.

Can Sri Lanka win a consolation game as a boost for their youngsters? Or will Bangladesh continue to complete a clean sweep of the series?

Pitch

The pitch in Dhaka continues to be tricky and won't be easy to bat on as rain will complicate matters for both batsmen and bowlers. . With some purchase for the fast bowlers also available, Spinners will come into play once the ball gets old. The third ODI is also predicted to be a low-scoring affair.

Team News

The Bangladesh management would look to make some changes and give some other players a chance with the series well wrapped up. With nothing up for stakes, it's a good opportunity for the other players in the squad to step up and prove their mettle, and also for some main players to find their rhythm and form.

Sri Lanka could continue with much of the same XI and add some much-needed match experience to their young squad. Niroshan Dickwella could be given an opportunity in place of the misfiring Pathum Nissanka. Asitha Fernando and Ramesh Mendis are the other players hopefully waiting for their turn.
