As we are into the tournament, every team has played at least once and there have been quite a few talents who were unnoticed or not given the attention they deserved.

Today, we at Cricwizz will analyze in detail five players who have been brilliant in the season until now.

Charith Asalanka (Sri Lanka)

Sri Lanka lost their last match against Australia but they still have performed exorbitantly well, considering how people had written them off towards the earlier stages of the tournament.

As much as the team deserves the credit, a huge chunk of it goes to Charith Asalanka who has been robust in the middle order, carrying Sri Lanka's batting in every game he's featured.

Well, some of you may think that it's Bhanuka Rajapaksa who is Sri Lanka's top scorer in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup (including the Qualifiers) but the fact that Asalanka is just eight runs behind him and has played two games less is what puts him ahead in the list.

However, Rajapaksa has been exceptional too. Asalanka also has the highest individual score in the T20 World Cup until now (80 vs BAN).

He has scored 6, 80, and 35 against the Netherlands, Bangladesh, and Australia respectively. An underrated talent who deserves all the praise.

Jatinder Singh (Oman)

Oman's soul while batting Jatinder Singh has been an influential player for the entire squad and has motivated his side to always express themselves on the field irrespective of the result.

Jatinder Singh is an opener who is known for his explosive hitting and has even performed well for Oman in the World Cup.

Oman's highest scorer in the tournament has been incessant when it comes to being the inspiration in the side to perform better than what they were before. A great persona and is a player who deserves a lot of credit for contributing to Oman's participation on such a grand stage.

David Wiese (Namibia)

Strike while the iron is hot is not something Wiese believes in because whenever Wiese is on the crease, Namibia are in need of something big.

A former Proteas, now representing Namibia, Wiese is the perfect example of how to make the most of your opportunities and how you should never give up, especially when you believe in yourself.

David Wiese has 116 runs in this competition in just four matches and he has been Namibia's biggest wall when it comes to taking them through the line. With an average of 58, Wiese has defied all odds and is still looking strong.

Tymall Mills (England)

How to come back from a setback is what you must learn from Tymall Mills. After a long time away from the English dressing room, Mills has stolen his competitor's thunder and has proven his selection to be staggering.

Not many people backed him after he returned into the squad and felt that he wouldn't be a suitable choice but Mills has proven them wrong. England have looked solid in all departments but when it comes to controlling the white ball, it's Mills who has stood up alongside Adil Rashid and Chris Woakes who also have been exceptional.

You may feel, why didn't we mention another Englishman who has been exceptional with the ball above, well, that's because he's next on our list.

Moeen Ali (England)

Yes, yes, we know it wasn't difficult to guess. Moeen Ali, the IPL champion has been perhaps a huge X-factor in the England bowling lineup.

People already expected him to turn up with the bat but he has helped England forget the likes of Jofra Archer, who used to open their bowling with the new ball.

Moeen Ali has put his skills and all the guidance from his IPL captain or maybe ex-captain (IPL 2022 mega auction on the way) MS Dhoni helped him with but Ali being Ali, he has been honest in acknowledging it.  The fact that he is bowling so well on any surface be it Dubai or Abu Dhabi, Moeen Ali has cemented his place surely in England's T20 lineup for the upcoming matches as well!
