Stumps, Day 2! Australia have extended their lead to 48 with 4 wickets remaining. Day 3 is going to be an interesting one as things can change quickly if the visitors gain a significant lead in the morning session. If Starc strikes a few big ones tomorrow, Australia have a chance to extend their lead close to the 100-run mark. So, do join us tomorrow for all live action of Day 3.
Umesh Yadav gets a wicket, finally! Full length delivery on middle and Marsh flicks it straight to the fielder at mid-wicket. Karun Nair takes the catch as Australia lose their sixth wicket. Umesh should have got Marsh earlier but finally gets the reward for his persistence. Australia now lead by 31 runs.
Shaun Marsh – Matthew Wade build solid partnership! The pair has done well by adding 50+ for the sixth wicket and Australia have a good chance of taking their lead close to 50 by the end of the day’s play. You can see the shoulders of Indian fielders drooping now. They have to get 5 wickets more but Australia are not giving anything away. Putting up a good fight!
6th Test fifty for Shaun Marsh! Brings up a valuable half-century for Australia. The luck has been on his side but Shaun has really worked hard for this fifty. With 5 wickets remaining, Australia have a chance to build their lead close to 100.
Decision over-turned! Shaun Marsh gets it right. Lucky escape for Shaun Marsh. That was hitting the middle stump but as the impact was outside off, the decision has to be over-turned. Luck not in favor of Umesh Yadav.
Ishant Sharma gets Mitchell Marsh for a duck! The crowd was behind Ishant and the fast bowler delivers for his team. Captain shows faith in his most experience pacer and the senior responds with a wicket on the last delivery before tea. Attacks the stumps, the ball keeps low, hits Mitchell Marsh low on his pads, India appeal and the umpire slowly raises his finger. Australia are five down for 163 and hosts are right back in the game.
Marsh brothers at the crease! Just the luck India needed. Ravichandran Ashwin takes Peter Handcomb’s catch after a bit of struggle. The ball pops out in the first attempt but as Ashwin falls down he somehow manages to hold onto the catch. Shaun and Mitch at the crease now. Two brothers together at the crease – one good in defence another an aggressive one.
The last time two brothers batted together in a Test in India was way back in 2001 in Chennai when Mark & Steve Waugh scored 52.#IndvAus

STUMPED! Ravindra Jadeja gets the opener with an excellent piece of bowling. On seeing Renshaw dance down the wicket, Jadeja fires one down the leg side. Saha collects it nicely and takes off the bails before Matt can get back in. The crowd at Chinnaswamy erupts in joy! Australia are 3 down for 134.
Very impressed with Matt Renshaw. Young man, playing at this level on alien pitches and with such composure.

Fifty for Matt Renshaw!! Third Test fifty and second one of this series for the youngster. Has been an impressive performance by this 20-year lad who’s showing other batsmen the way to play on this type of wicket. Well played boy!

100 up for Australia!! In the 54th over of the innings, Australia have brought up their 100. Has been difficult to score on this wicket but the trail is only 89 runs now. Determined batting by Australian top order!!
Matt Renshaw – an epitome of determination! The youngster played a pivotal knock in the first Test and he’s doing it again in Bengaluru. Has played over 150 deliveries off the 50 overs bowled by Indian bowlers. Indian pacers will soon be taken out of action and as an opener he has done his bit.
20 year old Renshaw has now faced 350 balls in this series; the most by any player & more than Kohli, Pujara & Rahane combined. #IndvAus

What do you think? How many wickets will India bag in the post-lunch session?
Top spell this by Umesh Yadav!
Quality test match bowling!#INDvAUS

A really enthralling session of Test cricket! Fantastic fight from young Matt Renshaw and an excellent display of bowling by India – only 47 runs in the session and 2 wickets in it. The hosts have not allowed Australia to run away with the game after an ordinary performance on the opening day of the Test as two dangerous batsmen – Warner and Smith are back in the pavilion! Australia trail by 102 with 8 wickets remaining. We’ll be back soon for the post-lunch session. Do join us!!

Do you think Ishant Sharma is a better actor than a bowler?
Got him! Yes Gone! Ravindra Jadeja gets the massive wicket. Steve Smith inside edges onto this pads. The ball balloons towards leg slip where Saha dives in to pull off a brilliant catch. The pressure has done the trick for India.
8 – No. of times Ravichandran Ashwin has dismissed David Warner in Test cricket. The most number of times Warner has been dismissed by a bowler and the most number of times Ashwin has dismissed a batsman in the longest format.
Bowled’em!! That’s the first wicket of the day and the first wicket of Australian innings. A ripper by Ravichandran Ashwin. Pitched outside leg and spins in sharply. Warner looks to defend it down but the ball beats his outside edge and knocks over the off stump. Squared up! Absolute peach of a delivery. Game on!
A warm welcome to one and all! It’s time for day 2 of the Bengaluru Test. After Australia dominated the opening day of the match, India will try to bounce back on the remaining four days. Can Ravichandran Ashwin repeat what Nathan Lyon did yesterday? Or will we see the Australian batsmen post a massive total in the second innings? All our questions will be answered today. Stay tuned in for all action…
